I agree. I actually gave up watching it around mid season 9 because it wasn't doing it for me and hadn't for quite a while really. I don't miss it because there are so many awesome shows out there.
Judging by the new Tuesday line up from the fall, with new shows Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (The Avengers spinoff with Joss Whedon at the helm) and Dads, and with The Biggest Loser moving over from its timeslot to against NCIS, I think we'll see quite a big ratings fall which might lead in naturally to it deciding to call it a day. NCIS has had no real competition for the past couple of years so it's stormed the ratings each week, and it might make it up its game if it starts losing ratings - or just hasten the end.
I used to have all kinds of wishes for how it would finish up, but now I have to admit I don't really care and won't watch it, which is sad.
