A Little Bit on Christopher Summers ...

So remember when I talked about that boy?  Chris Summers from that episode of 'Criminal Minds'?  Here's a picture just to refresh your memory :D



Anyway, I wrote a bit about him ... I felt like there could be more to him.  So here it is ... I call it "Summer"

 

The days have gotten better. The first few days were horrible … too many nurses and doctors looking in on him and making notations in their little notepads.

The bruises had faded. First they were reddish brown. Then they faded to a dark purple, almost black which then became green and yellow. Now they were light brown … almost gone. He didn’t need to his behind his thick necklaces anymore and yet … they were a security blanket for him. The nurses finally gave his jewelry back to him once they were sure he wasn’t going to off himself.

He had to beg for his nail polish back … and for someone to buy him eyeliner. Sandy down the hall offered to share hers, but … Chris Summers knew better than to share eyeliner, he didn’t want to get pink eye.

“Fuck, I wanna get out of here,” Chris mumbled to himself.

He knew that wouldn’t happen soon. The doctors still talked about him … he still had ‘issues’. Hell, he probably always would. He could see the dark clouds outside the window of his room and sighed softly.

He wondered if he could get emancipated. He knew they were looking for a relative to take him in, but …

He just wanted to get out. To feel the sun on his face and the breeze on his skin … he wanted it to be summer
