A/N 2: This takes place in what I call my Waddling!verse, where Tony and Gibbs are both preggers.
“Tony.” Gibbs sighed and rubbed his lover’s arms, slowly waking up.
“Go back to sleep,” Tony murmured in Gibbs’ ear. “It’s late.”
Gibbs hummed and looked down at his partner’s hands … and stopped. And stared. “What is on your hands?”
Tony looked over Gibbs’ shoulder and blushed a bit. “I told Abby she could paint my nails,” he said. “It’s called ‘Smooth Sailing’ … though you’d appreciate the aquatic metaphor.”
Gibbs grunted softly as he stared at his lover’s fingernails. Each nail was a light blue with … sparkles. “What possessed you to let her paint your fingernails?”
“And toenails.” Before Gibbs could comment, Tony continued. “I wanted a pizza and movie night with Abby … who thinks I’m pregnant, by the way. Anyway, to keep her from making me take a test, I promised to let her paint my nails. She promised no glitter, but … “
Gibbs sighed and closed his eyes, turning his head and kissing Tony’s arm. “It comes off tomorrow, okay? Fingers and toes.”
“Only if you help,” Tony replied with a big yawn. He pressed a sleepy kiss to the back of Gibbs’ head before he dropped off to sleep.

It was well past midnight when Tony finally crept into the house. He hadn’t expected to be with Abby that long, but after the movies and the pizza and the … nail polish, it had been very, very late.
He padded up the stairs, avoiding the two or three that squeaked, not wanting to wake Gibbs. He knew his lover was still feeling sick, and didn’t want to wake him up. The lights were out, and Tony could hear his partner’s deep breaths, indicating Gibbs was fast asleep. He stripped down and crawled into bed with his lover, wrapping his arms around Gibbs’ waist.
