New Computer on the Way!!!

So, my laptop decided to take a crap ... again. Apparently this time Windows XP is corrupt and the only way to fix it is to reinstall Windows, hence losing everything. So, instead I'm going to take my laptop to the computer place close to me and have them take all the data off my D Drive (which is all my fics, pics, rp's, etc) and then transfer it all to my brand new shiny computer that will be coming sometime this week.

Drawback? I'm gonna lose all my favorites ... *sigh* ... It's okay, I mean I don't use as many of them as I used to so it'll be nice to start new, but ... I had a whole bunch of fics from the SSA bookmarked that I'll have to find again ...

Oh well, shiny new laptop on the way!!!


And ... the lj update page is being weird and I can't see the moods ... so for right now I'm moodless

hmm, I'm not a techie, but I know that you can export bookmarks. At least in IE and Firefox. I don't know about other browsers.

That way you'd be able to transfer them to your new laptop without losing them.

True that! Tell the tech to get all of your bookmarks and put them on the disk as well!

I can ask ... but I had MSN on my laptop, so I had to sign in to use it ... I don't know if they'll be able to get them ... it's not too big of a deal ... I didn't use a lot of them anyway so it'll be good to kind of get a clean slate ...
