“Tony?” Gibbs turned to look where his lover would normally be sleeping next to him … and saw only rumpled blankets. He levered himself up on his elbows and looked around. “Tony?”
“I’m here,” Tony said with a strained smile. His belly proceeded him as he waddled across the room to the bed.
“How’d you get out of bed?” Gibbs grumbled.
“Abby came up earlier to check on us and I was awake, so she helped me up,” Tony said, reaching over to rub Gibbs’ burgeoning belly.
“We’re investing in birth control after this,” Gibbs said as Tony helped him out of bed. Together the two of them waddled to the bathroom.
“Who knew we’d both get pregnant?” Tony said as he washed his hands.
“We should have figured it out,” Gibbs muttered as they both struggled to get down the stairs. They were both seven months pregnant and cranky. “The doctor told us that we had to be careful when we started living together … that we’d tune in to each other.”
Tony rolled his eyes as he padded to the kitchen and took the glass of milk from Abby. She and Ducky had moved into Gibbs’ house while he and Tony were … indisposed. “Who knew it would only take four months for us to … tune into each other,” Tony grumbled.
Jethro took the glass from Tony’s hand and kissed him gently. “We should have known,” he said. “We were in tune long before we moved in together. You’ve always had my six … known my moods before I knew them.” He reached out and rested a hand on Tony’s stomach, smiling when he felt a kick under his hand.
“I love you,” Tony murmured.
“Aww, you two are so cute,” Abby said. “Now, who’s ready for morning yoga?”
