“You want to get me what?” Gibbs asked as he and Tony wandered through the streets of New York.
“Something leather,” Tony said as they wandered through the streets of New York. Tony knew exactly where he wanted to go and what he was hoping to get his husband into.
“Tony,” Gibbs said softly. “Just because we have money doesn’t mean we have to spend it.”
“Hey, I put plenty of it away for when we retire,” Tony retorted. “I just … you’d look stunning in leather, Jethro.”
Gibbs eyed Tony carefully. “One thing,” he acquiesced.
Tony just laughed. “Oh I think you might change your mind when you see where we’re going,” he said. They were walking down Hudson Street in the West Village, and Tony had them cross Christopher Street and turn right. They passed a theatre, a video store, and a bar until … “111 Christopher Street,” Tony finally announced. “Welcome to The Leather Man.”
Gibbs looked around as Tony tugged him inside. This was certainly not what he’d been expecting when Tony mentioned leather. He’d been picturing some high end designer shop with snooty clerks groveling to get their attention. Not a shop with wall to wall bondage gear, plugs, sexy toys and … other interesting things.
“Antonio!” A tall, lithe man with bright blue hair with a silver feather hanging from his left ear rushed over and gave Tony a hug. “So long!”
Tony laughed and returned the hug. “Hi Quinn,” he said. “I know, I know, it’s been too long. We’re here to get my husband a leather jacket … or a pair of pants.”
Quinn released Tony and stared at him. “Husband? You got married?” he looked over at Gibbs and grinned. “Older man, huh? Sexy.”
Tony laughed. “Quinn, this is my husband, Jethro Gibbs,” he said.
“Jethro?” Quinn said. “You joke!”
“Nope,” Tony said. “Jethro Gibbs. Jethro, this is Quinn, long time friend, part time therapist.”
Gibbs gave Quinn a small smile. “Nice to meet you,” he said.
“We need to get him in some leather,” Tony said.
“We have a great jacket … oh and some pants!” Quinn said, hurrying deeper into the shop.
Gibbs gave Tony a look. “Come here a lot?” he asked.
“When I was in college,” Tony admitted. “I came here a lot. One, it pissed my father off, and two … a lot of my boyfriends liked to come here.”
“Mmmhmm,” Gibbs grunted. He had to admit that the quality of the stuff he could see was amazing.
“Here’s our top selling leather jacket,” Quinn squealed as he brought a black leather jacket over. “Racing style, mandarin collar … so soft.” He handed it over to Gibbs with a smile. “Try it!”
Gibbs frowned, but took the jacket and slipped it on. The cut was nice, the leather was soft and the collar was a nice touch. “Nice,” he said.
“Nice? Nice???” Quinn’s hands were on his hips and his right foot was tapping erratically as he stared at Gibbs.
“Quinn, trust me, from my husband, that’s a high compliment,” Tony said, shooting Gibbs a grin. “We’re getting it.”
“On one condition,” Gibbs interrupted. “We get that, too.”
Tony and Quinn looked to where Gibbs was pointing; Quinn squealed and Tony blushed bright red. Gibbs was pointing to a rich black collar with a Celtic design burned into the leather, and a sturdy d-ring in the center.
“And the matching leash,” Gibbs added.
“Oh Antonio, he’s definitely a keeper!” Quinn said with a giggle.
