herohunter's where there was a mention of Tom's wife fighting with him, Tom needing to lay low for a little while longer, and that after S8 of SV is done we will see a big change in Tom ...

Tom stood, shifting from foot to foot, wringing his hands. He had been waiting to do this for years, and now that Smallville was done he was finally ready.

“Are you sure you’re ready to do this?” His publicist asked from behind him.

“I need to; the divorce from Jaime has been final for a year and I have just been biding my time till then. It needs to come out in the open,” Tom said, determined.

“All right, if you’re ready,” the publicist said and motioned Tom to the table full of microphones waiting for him.

“Can you believe how well everyone took it?” Tom asked, stroking his lover’s arm.

“I’m not all that surprised; have you read any of the Smallville fanfiction?” Michael asked with a big grin. “Clark and Lex got paired together all the time.”

“I’m just glad that everything is in the open,” Tom said, kissing Michael softly. “The past couple of years have been hell.”

“I know,” Michael said, relaxing into Tom’s embrace. “We are so lucky we have the fans we do.” Tom leaned down and kissed Michael’s head, nuzzling into the soft hair. Michael smiled at the touch of Tom’s lips. “Mmm, do that some more,” Michael said.

“My pleasure,” Tom said, turning Michael around to give him a deep kiss. Just as things were getting hot, they heard a soft cry from the baby monitor.

“Your turn,” Michael said with a grin. Tom gave him a smile and headed for the nursery. Michael got up and followed him. He stood in the doorway and watched Tom smile and coo at their daughter. Tom hummed quietly as he watched their daughter fuss a bit, but then she slowly drifted back off to sleep. He placed her softly back in her bassinet.

“She was just a little fussy,” Tom said softly as he walked over to his lover. He wrapped Michael in a hug and watched the bassinet from the doorway. Michael leaned up and kissed him softly. He took Tom’s hand and led him back to bed.
