Martha/Lois

She snuck downstairs and found Lois making pancakes. She wrapped her arms around Lois’ waist and kissed her shoulder. “You didn’t have to make breakfast,” Martha said softly.

“I know,” Lois said softly, flipping a pancake. “But I figure you’ve been making breakfast here for so long it’s time someone reutrned the favor.” She put the pancake on the growing stack and turned around, kissing Martha softly.

“Well thank you,” Martha said with a soft smile. “Clark’s going to be home later this afternoon, you know.”

Lois gave her a sad smile. “I know,” she said. “Can’t we just tell him?”

Martha shook her head. “He wouldn’t understand, not yet at least. Jonathan’s been gone only a few months, let him mourn and then we’ll tell him.” She gave Lois a soft kiss, letting her hands go to Lois’ hips. “I promise.”

Lois smiled. “Hungry?” she asked.

Martha gave her a knowing smile. “Not for pancakes,” she said with a seductive smile. “Last one upstairs has to milk Bessie,” she said and raced for the stairs. Lois laughed and ran after her, the pancakes forgotten in pursuit of much better things.
