Tony,

I have fought my feelings for far too long. I’ve watched you for years … I want to take a chance … with you. Please meet me at Quincy’s Bar tonight at 9. Wear those worn jeans, the ones with the holes in the knees, and that green linen button up … the one that brings out your eyes.

Yours always.

Jethro,

I could never say this in person - I’ve wanted you since the moment I saw you. Meet me at Quincy’s Bar at 9 tonight. Wear those dark blue jeans, and that blue shirt … you know the ones. Meet me and we’ll see where things go.

Yours.

Tony swirled his straw in his glass of Pepsi. No way was he drinking anything hard tonight. He’d gotten to work that morning to find that note sitting right on his desk. He’d nearly backed out, stayed home. But, his curiosity had gotten the better of him … not to mention the fact that he’d been going through a dry spell lately. If there was someone out there who wanted him, had watched him at work and knew what a complete and utter brat he could be, then hey, who was he to deny them?

Tony straightened his shirt and smoothed out his jeans, knowing he looked a bit out of place in the bar. He couldn’t understand why the note had asked for these jeans - they were a bit tight and worn, with holes in the knees. The shirt didn’t necessarily go with the jeans, but he knew he always looked good in green. He took a deep breath, another sip of his Pepsi … and waited.

Gibbs scanned the bar as he entered, searching for anyone who could have left him that note. He’s been surprised to find the note on his desk, immediately suspecting a prank. The note, however, seemed sincere, and had sparked his curiosity.

He approached the bar, took a seat and ordered a bourbon, neat. Alcohol would definitely be needed tonight.

Tony looked around and saw Gibbs sitting at the far end of the bar, nursing a bourbon. Tony couldn’t deny that Gibbs looked … good. Damn good. The jeans were dark and hugged his boss’ legs and ass just right. And the shirt … Tony loved that shirt and the way it just made Gibbs’ eyes pop. He slid off his chair and headed across the bar, oblivious to the stares he was getting from the other patrons.

“Boss?” Tony said.

Gibbs turned, about to respond when he stopped. Tony stood there, in those damn jeans that just hugged every damn curve. And that shirt … made his eyes stand out and made Gibbs just want to bend him over the bar and ..

“Hey Tony,” Gibbs replied after clearing his throat.

“Gibbs,” Tony said casually, although his heart was beating a mile a minute. “What are you doing here?”

Gibbs took a sip of his bourbon. “No idea,” he said.

“You’re here, but you don’t know why?” Tony asked, sitting down next to his boss.

Gibbs had the good grace to look a bit embarrassed. “I … I got a note,” he said.

“A note?” Tony asked, frowning a bit.

“Yeah,” Gibbs admitted. “Someone left a note on my desk this morning … asking me to meet them here tonight.” He shrugged and sipped his drink. “What about you? You here on a date?”

“No,” Tony said, sipping his drink. “I … got a note, too.”

“You got a note, too?” Gibbs asked.

Tony shrugged and nodded. “Someone left a note on my desk,” he said.

“Strange,” Gibbs said, downing the rest of his drink. “Both of us gets notes … telling us to come here … “

“Boss,” Tony said, biting back a grin. “I think we’ve been set up.”

“Set up, but who … Abby,” Gibbs said.

“Abby?” Tony said.

Gibbs sighed and downed the rest of his drink. “It does make sense,” he said.

“She’s always teasing me,” Tony said. “Telling me that I make googly eyes at you when you’re not looking.”

“She tells me to stop beating around the bush and bend you over the desk already,” Gibbs admitted.

“So … we wanna try this?” Tony asked shyly.

Gibbs looked at Tony, pleased to see the glimmer of hope in the young agent’s eyes.

“I think … yeah,” Gibbs said. “Let’s try this.”

Tony’s eyes warmed and he downed the rest of his Pepsi. “Continue this conversation somewhere else?” he asked.

“Yeah,” Gibbs said. “Like my house.”

“Great idea, Boss,” Tony said.

“Jethro,” Gibbs said. “Call me Jethro.”
