A/N 2: This takes place in what I call my Waddling!verse, where Tony and Gibbs are both preggers

Tony sat with Gibbs in the doctor’s office, his lover’s hand in his as they waited for the doctor to come in. Tony had made the appointment for Gibbs after the older man spent mornings hugging the toilet, throwing up. Gibbs had tried to shrug it off and chalk it up to stress, but Tony wouldn’t let it drop.

“You and your worrying,” Gibbs muttered, although there was a hint of a smile on his lips. He actually liked the fact that Tony worried about him … it had been a long time since he’d had a lover who put him first. He was also grinning because Tony had begun to get sick too, so Gibbs’ doctor appointment had turned into a Gibbs and Tony doctor appointment.

“Mr. Gibbs, Mr. DiNozzo.” The doctor stepped into his office and sat on the edge of his desk. “We have your test results back.”

“And?” Tony sat on the edge of his seat. “We’re both just overworked … stressed, right?”

The doctor shook his head. “Not just stressed,” he said. “Congratulations.” He passed them each a small bottle of pills.

Tony took the bottle and read the label. “P-p-prenatal vitamins?” he stuttered. He looked over at Gibbs’ bottle and felt all the blood drain from his face as he saw Gibbs holding the same exact bottle.

“Welcome to fatherhood,” the doctor said. “Both of you.”

Gibbs stared down at the bottle in his hand. Fatherhood? “Doctor, this is some sort of -”

“Not a mistake,” the doctor replied. “We ran your tests, both of your tests, twice.”

“Doctor, Jethro is … not young,” Tony murmured, avoiding the glare he knew was being shot his direction.

“We have taken that into account. While uncommon, men his age have given birth before. We’ll keep a close eye on Mr. Gibbs throughout his pregnancy.” The doctor gave the couple a smile and stood up. “I’ll leave you two alone for a few minutes.”

Tony blinked a few times as he watched the doctor leave. “Did he just say … ? He just said we’re -”

“Pregnant, Tony.” Gibbs turned and looked at his lover. “This is … unexpected.”

“Understatement of the century, Jethro,” Tony whispered. “I hadn’t planned on this … “

“Neither did I,” Gibbs murmured, squeezing Tony’s hand. “If you want to … I won’t be angry.”

Tony’s eyes widened and he shook his head. “No, never, I couldn’t even -” Tears were filling his eyes faster than he could blink them away.

“Hey, hey,” Gibbs murmured, standing and pulling Tony into a hug. “Shhh … it’s okay. I would never make you … I just didn’t know if you were ready for all this.”

“I may not be ready,” Tony admitted, nuzzling Gibbs’ neck. “But dammit, I’m going to give this child … our children all the love I can.”

“You are going to be a great father, Tony,” Gibbs said, rubbing Tony’s back soothingly.

“You too,” Tony mumbled against Gibbs’ neck. He pulled back and stared at Gibbs. “Fuck, Jethro … “

“What?” Gibbs gave Tony a curious look.

“We have to tell the team,” Tony said.

“Aw hell.”
