My Life ... It's Random

I was having a pretty good morning.  It was a nice, easy day.

Young lawyer comes in and asks for something.  Doesn't specifically ask me and my coworker who share an office.  Doesn't make sure that we're actually paying attention and not working on something else.  So, neither my coworker or I exactly hear what he's saying.  He says something like' thank you' and storms off.  I heard a bit more than my coworker, so I do a little digging, and then email him with what I can't find and ask for some clarification.  Coworker goes to vent to her sister (HR) and then comes back and starts writing an email to address the situation.

I come back and check my emails and young lawyer has responded to my questions with "I found what I was looking for.  Next time I'll just skip you and (coworker) fighting over who's going to answer me."

Um ... Childish, much?  So I forward the email to office sharing coworker, who responds, copying the two lead attorneys and HR.

Why does he think he can talk to me and my coworker like that?!?!

Then, I was emptying the toner waster container on the copy machine and inhaled the dust through my nose ... I was blowing black shit out of my nose for like an hour.

So ... I sometimes suffer from insomnia ... I'll wake up at like midnight, then 3, then 4, etc ... it sucks.

Yesterday morning I apparently woke up at like, 4:15 and had a text conversation with my boss ... I have no recollection of this conversation, but when I went back and read the texts, I was mostly coherent ... I told him yesterday that it was a one time deal and not to expect it again.  He said he was impressed with how quickly I'd responded, then laughed when I told him I hadn't remembered it.

Yesterday was kind of a shit day though ... I ended up working till 9:15 last night because we had eight oppositions due ... only one of which got filed before 5pm ... when I left there were still three documents that needed to be filed, but my manager said I could go home and she'd finish the last three documents ...

Then this morning I got a text from the boss thanking me for working hard and staying late and that he appreciated the effort ... it's nice to be told you're appreciated

I have self esteem issues ... always have.  And I found this video on my Tumblr page and ... it literally brought me to tears.

P!nk extended her sold out tour and she had dates in LA for October 12, which is right after my birthday ... FB did a presale that started this morning and I was able to get into the presale and get tickets!!!

Yay, I'm going to see P!nk in concert!!!

I happen to have quite a few moles ... genetically disposed to them, I guess.

Anyway, I have this one under my left arm, just below my armpit ... It has a tiny base and had a pretty big head ... Thursday night it started to ... well ... come off.  The big head was hanging on by a thread, so I went to my dad and he came with me into the bathroom and snipped the head off with a pair of nail scissors!  It didn't hurt when he did it, but then we put an antibacterial bandaid on it and boy, did it start to sting!  It didn't bleed through the bandaid though, which is good.

I kept the bandaid on all yesterday and last night, only taking it off this morning when I showered ... OUCH!  The water stung and the thing was still super tender.  So I have a bandaid on it again.

Also, Thursday night I dreamed about work (where one of the lawyers was yelling at me over the paging system), and last night I had a dream that was a weird mix of family and Teen Wolf wherein instead of watching Stiles and Derek interact, I was actually Stiles (strange, I know)

I was thinking about my bedroom this weekend ... it's not very big.  Neither is my closet for that matter.

I did my taxes today and am getting $967 back!  O.o ... *does Snoopy dance*

I've decided that I need to update my bedroom.  First will be cleaning out my bedroom because ... I've accumulated random crap I need to get rid of LOL

THEN ... I'm going to get a new bed!  Still a full size bed (because again, room is not that big), but a LOFT BED!  I found this one at Ikea:



This will give me more floor space!  I'll get a shelf to put my alarm clock on.  And then I can get some storage for underneath ... I'm thinking of this dresser:



And then maybe a new chair because the one I have in there is ... yeah.  Thinking maybe something like this:



So yeah ... planning some changes :D
