Why Fandom Bugs Me (Sometimes) ... A Rant

sinderella81Okay, so I still totally love my show ... I still giggle and squee over Smallville, even if I don't always like what they do ... but ...
Why is it that if I say that I don't like Clark, or I think he's being a 'tard, somehow that means that not only do I not like Clark, but I don't like Tom Welling either ... Let me say this: I still love Clark and I most definitely still love Tom Welling ... just because I don't like what the character is doing doesn't mean I don't like the actor or what he's trying to do with the character ... Tom tries very hard to make fabulous things happen with the drivel the writers give him ... I still love Tom and still love Clark (even if Clark is being a 'tard right now)
Also, what is it with the badmouthing? I have every conceivable 'ship on my flist: Clexers, Brexers, Lexana-ers, Cloisers, Chlakers, etc. I get along with each and every one of them ... I don't push my 'ship on them and I don't bag on their 'ship. Hell, they could like Clark being paired with a horse and I wouldn't care - I wouldn't read it or post a comment on it, but it's your opinion and you have the right to express it. It's your journal and you can post what you want.
