Speaking to a Supervisor ... it Works!!

So I have a Lane Bryant credit card ... and well, I misplaced it somewhere in the house LOL ... so about 8 months ago, I called and informed them that I couldn't find my card ...
They never sent me a new card ... and then I went to pay my account this month and last month and noticed that I didn't have any money available, just a balance to pay off ...
Well I found my card recently and wanted to call and let them know (because I couldn't use the card since I reported it missing)
Apparently, not only did they NOT send me a new card, they also closed my account WITHOUT TELLING ME!
The girl I spoke with in customer service then told me that I would need to pay off the old account before I could open a new account ... I was frustrated. Then I shredded the credit card, because I couldn't use it anyway ...
Then I was talking with a friend of mine, and she told me to call back and ask to speak to a supervisor. So I did ... the guy on the phone I spoke with first said: 'Well you could be on hold for ten minutes' ... Me: I don't mind.
So the guy put me on hold. I got a supervisor and explained my situation. The woman said that no, I wouldn't have to pay off my old account and open a new one, and she didn't know why I was told that. A few key strokes and mouse clicks later and my account was reactivated and a new card was going out in the mail!
So ... talking to a supervisor ... sometimes it works!!
