“Christ,” Gibbs groaned, resting his head on the lip of the toilet seat. He was never, never sick!

Tony watched from the doorway of the bathroom. “You’re sick, Jethro,” he murmured.

“I don’t get sick,” Gibbs grunted.

“Jethro, you just threw up so hard that there’s bits of it in your hair,” Tony replied, entering the bathroom and crouching down next to his partner. He snagged a washcloth that was sitting on the tub next to him, got it wet, and placed it on the back of Gibbs’ neck. “You’re sick.”

“I feel fine,” Gibbs muttered. “Just … tired.”

“And throwing up,” Tony added, rubbing Gibbs’ shoulders. “Let’s get you cleaned up and into bed.”

“I’m not an invalid,” Gibbs grumbled, but let Tony help him stand.

“I know you’re not,” Tony replied, tossing the washcloth in the tub and getting his lover a glass of water. “Sip,” he cautioned, watching Gibbs sip the water carefully.

Gibbs set the empty glass on the bathroom sink and examined his reflection. Bits of … Gibbs didn’t want to think of what was stuck to his shirt and in his hair, it would only make him sick again. He tugged off his shirt and tossed it in the direction of the bedroom before turning the sink on.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Tony asked.

“Gonna get the crap out of my hair and then get some sleep,” Gibbs replied.

Tony shook his head. “Just … wait there for a sec,” he muttered. He was gone and back moments later with a chair. “Sit.”

“Again, not an invalid,” Gibbs muttered, but he sat down, letting Tony lean him back against the bathroom sink.

“And I like taking care of you,” Tony murmured, pressing a soft kiss to Gibbs’ forehead as he turned on the sink, getting the water warm. “So, let me.”

Gibbs sighed and … let Tony take care of him. He hummed when he felt Tony pour warm water over his hair, moaned softly when he felt Tony’s hands in his hair, massaging gently.

Tony watched his partner carefully as he washed Gibbs’ hair. He loved how the short hair on the back and sides of Gibbs’ head would tickle the palms of his hands, yet the top was so soft, the strands easily slipping through his fingers. He would touch Gibbs’ hair all the time if he could … He pulled himself out of his thoughts and gently rinsed the shampoo from Gibbs’ hair, noticing how relaxed his partner looked.

Gibbs felt his body relax under Tony’s loving ministrations. He’d been feeling rundown for the past couple of days, but he just figured he was tired - but if it got Tony to take care of him like this … he might have to play sick more often.

Tony grabbed a towel off the rack and gently dried Gibbs’ hair. “Okay, Jethro,” he murmured softly, helping Gibbs sit up. “To bed.” He helped Gibbs stand, pressing a loving kiss to the older man’s bare shoulder as they both wandered into the bedroom.

Gibbs flopped down on the bed, letting Tony get him situated under the covers.

“Get some sleep, okay?” Tony murmured. “I’ll make some tomato soup and grilled cheese.”

“Favorite,” Gibbs mumbled as his eyes drifted closed.

“I know,” Tony replied softly, pressing a kiss to Gibbs’ forehead. He made a mental note to make a doctor’s appointment for the older man - it wasn’t like Gibbs to be sick, and Tony was a bit worried.

“Love you,” Gibbs breathed. His breathing evened out and his body relaxed as sleep overtook him.

“Love you too, Jethro,” Tony murmured, brushing a lock of damp hair off Gibbs forehead. “Love you, too.”
