9:30- send letter giving ex parte notice
1:15 - attorney decides might not do ex parte
1:30 - talk with attorney and figure out who's hearing ex partes Monday in case need to file it tomorrow.
1:45 - attorney runs in and wants to file today. Problem. Internet is down. No email, no internet, nothing.
2:00 - can't get the papers filed. Attorney gets pissed.
2:30- try to serve amended ex parte notice and then get stopped because opposing counsel took their motion off calendar so we don't need the ex parte anyway (thank goodness we couldn't file it, right?) ... Send new letter taking ex parte off calendar.
3:00 - attorney gets call from another clerk in another department who tells her that all these motions we wanted to move out to late September are being moved up to August 23 - making oppositions due MONDAY O____o
5:10 - leave work. Internet is still down.
